Lil Boosie put together many videos for his release of the album SuperBad, which came out back in 2009. A particular video that is very hot is the one for his track “Top Notch” featuring Lil Phat, Lil Trill, and Mouse. The three artists that are featured all drop some ill verses for the fans to enjoy. In case you didn’t know about Mouse, he is the guy that does the chorus and also raps the final verse; he was responsible for most of the production on the album as always. He is one of Trill Entertainment’s top producers and him and the Bad Azz have good chemistry together.

This song is the second track on the 2009 release and is an apparent standout. The instrumental for this baby sounds very good and thumps hard on the bass drum. The chorus for this joint was very well crafted and repeats: “Top notch whips that’s what I drive, 24 inches rims and tires, hatin ass niggas can’t believe they eyes, they starin me down and I’m wonderin why, hold up wait a second let me think for a second (repeats).” Although Boosie would have been able to come through with a chorus on this one, he let Mouse do his thing and the mastered track turned out to be phenomenal.

The official video for “Top Notch” was directed by Mr Boomtown, who also directed several of Boosie’s other music vids including “I’m A Dog.” This one features the Bad Azz driving through the neighborhood waving stacks of money and wearing all of his chains. He is wearing a matching yellow shirt to match the yellow top notch whip that he is driving through the hood. The video features some very nice whips and a lot of fine dimes cleaning them; the camera angles were certainly on point.

Lil Boosie – Top Notch (Official Video)

The purpose of the track is to address the haters that are upset with the Trill Entertainment crew for doing their thing and making money. If you haven’t seen the entire official video for this song, be sure to give it a play above and see whether you like it. There are plenty of great visuals in this one and it is always cool to see the boss from South Baton Rouge doing it real big with his homies. If you are interested in buying the original track, make sure that you check out his “Superbad” project which is on iTunes and at all major music retailers for those that want a hard copy.  Note to all fans:  Another song that you may want to check the video for is “Loose As A Goose.”
